VOANS Names Larenda Love-Butler as New Board and Committee Relations Manager

June 3, 2024 – Volunteers of America National Services announced that Larenda Love-Butler has been promoted to Board and Committee Relations Manager, effective May 28, 2024.

Love-Butler currently serves as VOANS’ senior project manager responsible for managing and implementing strategic initiatives in housing and leading the department’s efforts to improve business performance. As Board and Committee Relations Manager, Love-Butler will serve as liaison for the members of VOANS committees and board of directors; will build relationships with board and committee members; and manage internal processes that directly impact board and committee operations.

“Larenda has more than 16 years of organizational knowledge that we know will be integral to continuing our efficient collaboration with our board and committees,” said David Nisivoccia, EVP and COO of VOANS. “She brings to this role previously established relationships across the organization and years of experience in fostering effective communication, which will be instrumental in supporting our board and committees.”

Prior to becoming a Senior Project Manager, Love-Butler served as housing development coordinator, senior manager of housing development and senior housing administration manager. Previously, she served as an executive administrative assistant for the University of Maryland College Park for three years. She has completed various trainings and certifications including VOANS’ Keymakers Leadership Development Program and is a 2021 recipient of the Leadership in Program Services Award. Love-Butler is originally from St. Paul, Minn., and currently resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland, with her family.
